VCH names Ralph Alberti Managing Board Member at recent AGM

The members of German chemical distribution industry association Verband Chemiehandel [“VCH”] (Cologne, Germany) have elected Christian Westphal as their new President at the Annual General Meeting in Bonn, Germany on 14./15. May 2018.  Westphal is Managing Shareholder of TER Group, a Hamburg-based company with activities in the manufacturing, distribution and trading of chemicals and natural ingredients that holds participations in Europe, Asia and the United States of America.

First elected to the Board in 2015, Westphal follows Uwe Klass of CG Chemikalien GmbH (Laatzen, Germany), who has led the association since 2009 an did not stand for re-election. Other newly elected Board Members are Thomas Sul (Deputy President and Chair of “Fachausschuss Aussenhandel – DKSH), Bastian Geiss (Chair of “Fachausschuss Chemiehandel” and “Fachausschuss Recyling” – Richard Geiss GmbH) and Olivier Maillard (Board Member – Brenntag GmbH).

The AGM also elected Ralph Alberti, Attorney-at-Law as the new Managing Board Member. He follows Peter Steinbach, who will retire after 32 years of service at the end of June.
