Azelis acquires the second Specialty Chemicals and Food Ingredients Distributor in less than four Weeks

Specialty chemicals and food ingredients distributor Azelis S.A. (Munsbach, Luxembourg) has announced that it has acquired 100% of  Chemroy Canada Holding, Inc. (Brampton, Ontario – Canada), a privately owned distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients, for an undisclosed sum.

Chemroy, which was established in 1967 has a staff of 59 persons.  The company is active in the technical CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants & Elastomers) segment incl. Construction and Printing Inks, and also in Food, Pharmaceuticals, Nutraceuticals and Personal Care. Besides its HQ outside Toronto, it has offices in Laval, Quebec and Vancouver, British Columbia. It offers warehousing capabilties across the country, Azelis said in the announcement.

Azelis said it considers the acquired business complementary in terms of markets served, principal relationships and product offering and hence an “excellent strategic fit”. Both companies share a number of key principals.

No financial information was disclosed on the transaction.
