Azelis expands its Presence in the Polish Food Industry

Specialty chemicals and food ingredients distributor Azelis S.A. (Munsbach, Luxembourg) has announced that it will acquire 100% of Euroconsultant Sp. z o.o.  (Poznań, Poland), a distributor of Flavours, Shelf Life Extenders and other products for the Meat industry, from founders Michał Bąbelek and Bartosz Maryniak.

All employees of the company will join the Azelis team. While currently serving mostly customers in the Meat segment, the plan is to expand into the Fish, Poultry and Cheese & Dairy segments over time in order “to reduce the traditional smoking to a clean, safe and economical method using smoke condensates”, Azelis said in a statement.

No financial information was disclosed on the transaction.
