Azelis enhances Position in Maghreb Region

Specialty chemicals distributor Azelis S.A. (Munsbach, Luxembourg) has announced the signing of an agreement to acquire 100% of Distralim S.A.R.L. (Casablanca, Morroco), a distributor of Food ingredients.

All 21 employees of the company will be joining the Azelis team. The company covers the main food application markets, such as ingredients for confectionery, biscuits and ice cream as well as several non-food segments. With the addition of Distralim, Azelis expects to become one of the leading food distributors in Morocco and also to be able to expand into other parts of North and West Africa.

No financial details of the transaction, which is expected to be completed during the next few months, were disclosed.
