Biesterfeld to bundle Activities in Pharma and Medical Devices

Plastics and speciality chemicals distributor Biesterfeld AG  (Hamburg, Germany),  has announced that the group will set up a new business unit “Healthcare” within its subsidiary Biesterfeld Spezialchemie GmbH, in order to better address the complexity of the industry and the demands of the customers which the company serves. The new business unit will combine the Pharma activities of Schütz & Co., a company which had been acquired in summer 2016, and the business of the current Pharma and Medical Devices segments.

The unit will be headed by Andreas Lekebusch, PhD.  He is a company veteran, who has “significantly shaped the strategic alignment and operational implementation of Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices activities at Biesterfeld Spezialchemie for almost 20 years”, Biesterfeld said in a statement.
