Dedicated BU Food & Nutrition with own Structure within Brenntag Organisation
Global chemical distributor Brenntag AG (Essen, Germany) has announced the launch of a global Food & Nutrition brand under the slogan “Sense the difference”. The company is in the process of drawing together its food and beverage specific capabilities in 73 countries, with over 750 dedicated employees and 28 food application and development centers in one coordinated business unit. Brenntag said the new BU “Food & Nutrition” will have its own structure within the Brenntag organisation.
Tom Corcoran is going to lead the global business as Vice President Food & Nutrition Brenntag Group, overseeing global targets, strategy and marketing. Brenntag’s four regions will each be covered by a Vice President: Frank Haven for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Margaret Chua for Asia Pacific, Larry Davis for North America and Tomás Navarro for Latin America, who will be responsible for regional strategy and operations.
The BU is designed “to provide technical expertise, tailor-made formulation and application solutions, a broad portfolio of specialty and commodity ingredients and profound industry know-how in the segments Meat, Poultry & Fish Processing, Bakery & Bread, Dairy & Ice Cream, Beverages, Chocolate & Confectionary, Convenience Food and Fruit & Vegetable Processing. It will have a dedicated website, which goes live in parallel to this announcement, Brenntag said in the announcement.
