Andreas Matthias Monecke in Dual Role of Chairman & CEO

Latin American speciality chemicals distributor Cencozotti S.A. (Caracas, Venezuela), has announced that its Chairman of the Board, Andreas Matthias (“Matthias”) Monecke has also assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of the group.

Monecke, who joined Cencozotti back in 1988, holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from TU Munich and an MBA from IESA in Caracas. He follows Jorge Viera Landaluce, who had been CEO since 2011 and is leaving the group for persoal reasons, the statement said.

Besides Venzuela, Cencozotti is active in Colombia, Peru and the Dominican Republic. Industries covered include Nutrition, Pharmaceuticals, Polymers, Rubber, Personal & Home Care, Coatings and Adhesives.
