OQEMA further expands Activities in the United Kingdom

Chemicals distributor OQEMA AG (Mönchengladbach, Germany) and its UK subsidiary OQEMA Ltd. [the former Lansdowne Chemical plc] (Carterton, Oxford – United Kingdom) have recently announced the acquistion of the business and assets of Whyte Chemicals Ltd. (Finchley, London – United Kingdom) from Joint Administrators, Andrew Andronikou and Paul Zalkin of Quantuma LLP.

The asset deal will be excuted through a new subsidiary OQEMA Whyte Ltd. (t/a Whyte Chemicals) and the staff  of Whyte Chemicals Ltd. (ca. 40 persons) will transfer to the new entity. The transaction includes a distribution center located on a nine acre site in Denaby, South Yorkshire. Before experiencing financial difficulties earlier in the year, Whyte Chemicals had a turnover of ca. GBP 70 mn per annum.
