Special Report: ICIS Top-100 Distributors List

Update referencing 2020 Data published last Week

Publisher and data provider ICIS (London, United Kingdom) has unveiled its “Top-100 List” of Chemical Distributors last Friday. Published in association with European trade association Fecc (Brussels, Belgium), as part of  a Special Report within the ICIS Chemical Business (“ICB”) magazine, the list can be accessed via the link below:

The 07. May 2021 edition of the magazine also contains a number of articles, based on interviews with a selection of industry leaders, and an article on M&A trends written by DistriConsult’s Guenther Eberhard utilising his company’s extensive database on transactions dating back to 2009.

 

As in previous years, this special edition of ICB is a “must read” for suppliers, distributors, financial investors, channel management and supply chain experts, and other industry observers.

Fecc postpones 2021 Congress by a Year

Series of virtual Meetings planned for original Congress Date 20. May 2021

According to a note on its website, Fecc, the European Association of Chemical Distributors (Brussels, Belgim) has announced that “after careful consideration of the current COVID-19 situation and the uncertainties that remain for the coming months, the Fecc Board has made the decision to postpone our annual event to 2022”. The exact date is still to be confirmed.

 

Fecc Director General Dorothée Arns and her staff are working on a series of virtual meetings to be held on the originally scheduled main congress day 20. May 2021, which will include accompanying sessions for the Assembly of National Associations, Company Members and the General Assembly Plenary. In the announcement Fecc said, the plans is also to “invite inspirational speakers who will give talks on the state of the world and of distribution.”

ICIS Top-100 Chemical Distributors List: Call for Data Entry

ICIS together with Fecc, NACD, CBA, Associquim and RDC are calling for a Submission of 2019 Company Data by 13. March 2020

ICIS is compiling the Top 100 Chemical Distributors ranking for the 22 May 2020 issue of ICIS Chemical Business – the most popular and comprehensive listing of distributors in the world – as done in previous years.

 

ICIS is undertaking this global effort with the support of Fecc (European Association of Chemical Distributors), the NACD (National Association of Chemical Distributors), the CBA (Chemical Business Association), Associquim (Brazilian Association of Chemical and Petrochemical Distributors), and RDC (Responsible Distribution Canada).

 

Distributors are invited to include the requested information as follows.
Please include the geographic breakdowns of sales (please provide actual amounts and not a percentage), as this is important for the regional rankings as well. Note that ICIS will also list those beyond the Top 100, as the list had more than 250 companies last year.

 

The deadline for responses is Friday 13 March 2020.
