IMCD expands Presence in Southwestern U.S.

Specialty chemicals and food ingredients distributor IMCD N.V. (Rotterdam, The Netherlands) announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire the specialty chemicals distribution business of Bossco Industries, Inc. (Houston, TX – United States).

Bossco Industries, which was established in 1989, generated sales of US$ 11 mn in 2016. The business, which comprises sales of specialty chemicals to a range of application industries in the Southwestern United States, will be integrated into IMCD U.S. to enhance national geographic coverage. Edward Boss, President of Bosco industries will become a senior member of the IMCD US management team, the statement said.

The transaction is expected to close in July. No financial details were disclosed.
