Contruction has started on new Brenntag Facility located in Sunderland
Brenntag UK Ltd (Leeds, United Kingdom), a subsidiary Global chemical distributor Brenntag AG (Essen, Germany) announced that work has started on a new multi-million GBP distribution facility in Sunderland.
Located within the Turbine Business Park, Brenntag said the new facility on an 3.3. acre (ca. 1.33 hectare ) plot, is adjacent to the main arterial routes, the A1 and A19. It will have 4000 sq ft (ca. 370 m2) of office and amenities, a 15,000 sq ft ( ca. 1’400 m2) warehouse with dedicated, high bay storage for speciality ingredients, and bulk storage facilities for the range of inorganic products.It will have also have mixing and blending capabilities. Brenntag is plannning to use it as “the hub for the North East of England, servicing both the current customer base and the wider Brenntag network.” The Brenntag Newcastle team ist supposed to relocate to the new site, once it is completed by the end of this year.
