Univar and Nexeo Solutions to launch as Univar Solutions after today’s Closing of the Takeover
In filings to the SEC during the last two week, global chemical and ingredients distributor Univar, Inc. (Downers Grove, IL – United States) outlined some intial steps of the integration of Nexeo Solutions, Inc. (The Woodlands, TX – United States). Once the Univar-Nexeo transaction closes on 28.02.2019, the newly combined company will have the name Univar Solutions.
Pending closing, Brian K. Herington, currently Executive Vice President Chemicals at Nexeo Solutions will join the leadership team of President and CEO David Jukes as Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer.
Herrington, who holds a BSc from Illinois State University and an MBA from Ashford University, has nearly 30 years of experience in commerce and industry, gained in management roles of increasing responsibilty at ABB, Performance Fibers (a Sun Capital business) , SABIC Innovative Plastics and GE. He started his career in 1990 at Amoco Chemical.
