Marco Gadola to join Board effective 01. January 2020 as Member and subsequent Election to Chairman Position
Market expansion services provider (and speciality chemicals and ingredients distributor) DKSH AG (Zurich, Switzerland) anounced last week that the company is proposing its shareholders to elect three new board members, Marco Gadola, Dr. Wolfgang Baier and Jack Clemons, at its upcoming Annual General Meeting (“AGM”).
If elected, Dr. Wolfgang Baier and Jack Clemons will join the Board with immediate effect. Marco Gadola, if elected and in line with the Articles of Association of the Straumann Group (a Basle based manufacturer of dental implants), will join DKSH’s Board on 01. January 2020, after having handed over his responsibilities as Chief Executive Officer of Straumann Group to his successor. In the run-up to the AGM in 2020, he will be proposed as Chairman of DKSH. In the interim, Adrian T. Keller, Honorary Chairman of DKSH, stands for election as Chairman of the Board for one term of office in 2019, DKSH said in the statement.
According to the announcement, Dr. Wolfgang Baier, Group Chief Executive Officer of Luxasia and ex-Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Post, is a well-known expert in logistics, digitization and e-commerce in Asia. Jack Clemons, ex-Chief Executive Officer and ex-Chief Financial Officer of Bata Group, has a ten-year successful track record in the international retail sector and in supply chain management.
As previsously reported, current Chairman (and former CEO) Dr. Joerg Wolle will step down an the AGM 2019. In addition, Board Members David Kamenetzky, Robert Peugeot and Theo Siegert will not stand for re-election to the Board of Directors.
