Brenntag obtains C Rating (“Awareness”) for 2018
Global chemical distributor Brenntag AG (Essen, Germany) has published today that the group has taken part in international organization CDP’s Climate Rating project for the first time. Every year, CDP (formerly known as the Carbon Disclosure Project) analyses several thousand companies worldwide with regard to their strategic approach to the challenges of climate change and rates their climate management activities based on a comprehensive list of criteria.
CDP awards company ratings from A (“Leadership”) to D (“Disclosure”). Brenntag was awarded a C (“Awareness”) in the Climate Change 2018 rating cycle.
Brenntag is a member of the “Together for Sustainabilty” (TfS) initiative of the chemical industry and the United Nations Global Compact. It holds a “Gold” recognition from EcoVadis’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assessment. Its Sustainability Report for FY 2018 is to be published at the end of April 2019, the company said.
