Dr. Azita  Owlia promoted to President and CEO of Specialty Chemicals and Ingredients Distributor

Specialty chemicals and ingredients distributor Connell Bros. Co. LLC [“CBC”] (San Francisco, CA – United States) recently announced that it has promoted Dr. Azita Owlia to the job of President and CEO,  “recognising the strong strategic leadership and direction that she brings to the Company.”

Owlia, who is based in San Francisco and Hong Kong, joined the Company in 2011 as Vice President of North Asia, after having served as a Senior VicePresident at Bayer MaterialScience (a.k.a.  as Covestro). She is credited with having “pushed a company-wide, multi-year effort to build an innovative platform geared towards exceptional customer experience.”

At the same time the company, which was founded in 1898 and today has approx. 1’200 employees across Asia-Pacific and the U.S., announced a strategic rebranding of the group under the new name, “Connell”.
