Mandate for Fecc Director General (ad interim) has ended effective 01. April 2019

Cathy Demeestere to step down due to Health Reasons

The board of chemical distribution industry trade association Fecc – The European Association of Chemical Distributors (Brussels, Belgium) has announced earlier this week that the mandate of Cathy Demeestere, appointed Director General (at interim) in August 2018, ends – effective 1. April 2019 – due to health reasons.

 

According to the Fecc statement, Sylvain Bougoin, currently Life Sciences & International Trade Manager, is taking over interim managemnt responsibilty until the arrival of the new Fecc Director General. Holding a PhD in Cellular Biology and Physiology from the University Rabelais of Tours, he has international experience in Medicine, Dentistry and Chemical Biology during 4 years at the University of Pittsburgh USA as Post-Doctoral Fellow, followed by 3 years of activity in Scandinavia, first as research expert and thereafter as regulatory specialist in the Pharma and Medical Devices sector.

 

Fecc said, Sylvain Bougoin will be supported in his daily management tasks by the association’s President, Dr Neville Prior, and report to the Fecc Board.
