Seasoned Public Affairs Professional to manage Trade Association after Period of Uncertainty
The board of chemical distribution industry trade association Fecc – The European Association of Chemical Distributors (Brussels, Belgium) has announced earlier this week that it appointed Dorothée Arns to the position of Director General. This appointment comes after several changes at the top management level of the association over the last two years.
Arns, a German national with with roots in chemicals producer BASF joins from Cefic, where she most recently held the position of Executive Director of Petrochemicals Europe and beforehand Director General of the European Solvents Industry Group from 2006 to 2011. She studied in Germany, Ireland and Spain and holds Master degrees in Business Administration and in Applied Languages & Linguistics. Over the years she has built up “an extensive network of contacts within the EU Institutions and far beyond”, Fecc said in a statement.
Fecc President, Dr. Neville Prior is quoted saying: “I am very pleased that Dorothee Arns is joining Fecc and I am sure she will bring the organisation to its next stage of growth and advancement.”
