Nagase has taken over Specialty Chemicals Distributor Fitz Chem Corporation

Chemical group Nagase & Co. Ltd. (Tokyo, Japan) last week announced that its U.S. subsidiary Nagase America (New York, NY – United States) has acquired specialty chemicals distributor Fitz Chem Corporation (Itasca, IL – United States).

Fitz Chem, which was established in 1985, has revenues over US$ 60 mn, a staff of 43 persons and focusses on the CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants and Elastomers) markets as well as Plastics and Personal Care. It calls itself a “super regional” distributor, which covers 21 states in the Midwest region of the U.S. The company will trade under the name Fitz Chem LLC, as a wholly owned subsidiary of Nagase America.

No financial details were disclosed on this transaction.
