Lavollée Chimie strenthens its Position in Life Sciences and Fine Chemicals

Specialty chemical distributor Lavollée S.A. (Levallois (Paris), France) earlier this month announced it has taken over neighbouring specialty chemicals distributor Ballu Chimie (Levallois (Paris), France). The company is supplying ingredients to the Life Science industries, including fine chemicals sourced in China.

Lavollée S.A. (“Lavollée Group”), originally founded in 1963, is a family owned distributor of specialty chemical products in France. The industries covered by the company include Life Sciences (Pharma, Personal Care, Food and Flavours & Fragrances), as well as Coatings, Surface Treatment, Detergents, Home Care, Lubricants, and Polymers. The company is a founding member of the LEL Alliance of specialty chemicals distributors in Europe. With a staff of 35 it expects to generate sales in excess of EUR 50 mn in 2017, according to the statement.

No financial details were disclosed on the transaction.
