Maroon Group expands further with Acquisition of Florida-based Distributor

North American specialty chemicals distributor Maroon Group LLC (Avon, OH – United States) announced that it has acquired J. Tech Sales LLC (Boca Raton, FL – United States), a national distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients.

Established in 1997, J. Tech Sales supplies ingredients and specialty chemicals to Household, Industrial & Institutional (“HI & I”), Food & Beverage, Coatings and Personal Care applications. The company views itself as a “as a unique hybrid of both distributor and manufacturer” with an in-house development laboratory. The management team, led by Jeff Tannenbaum and Barry Tannenbaum , will remain in place and continue to actively manage the business as a “operating vertical”, Maroon Group said in the statement.

Neither financial details nor terms of the transaction were disclosed.
