Paris-based Safic-Alcan takes over Techform Fine Chemicals

Specialty Chemicals distributor Safic-Alcan S.A. (Puteaux (Paris), France) has announced today that the group has acquired 100% of the shares of Techform Fine Chemicals Limited (Stafford, Staffs – United Kingdom) through its subsidiary Safic Alcan UK Limited (Warrington, Cheshire – United Kingdom).

Established in 2003, Techform Fine Chemicals produces and distributes a range of functional products for the Construction industry, particularly in so-called dry-mix applications. Some of its specialty additives are sold under private label brand names, Safic-Alcan said. Director Mike P. Strong will continue in a consultancy role during a transition period to support customers and suppliers.

No financial details were disclosed regarding this transaction.
