2M Holdings Ltd. acquires  Franken-Kosmetik-Chemiehandel GmbH & Co. KG

Chemicals services group 2M Holdings Ltd. (London, United Kingdom), parent company of chemical distributors Banner Chemicals and Surfachem has acquired specialty chemicals distributor Franken-Kosmetik-Chemiehandel GmbH & Co. KG [“FrankenChemie”] (Wendelstein (Nuremberg), Germany).

Established in 1983, the so far family-owned company distributes specialty chemicals, primarily ingredients for Personal Care, Home Care and Food. Besides Germany, current sales extent into Croatia, Macedonia, Slovenia and the Benelux region. 2M Holdings’ subsidiary Surfachem Ltd. and FrankenChemie share German chemicals producer Evonik Industries AG as a key supplier.

The transaction follows  the acquisition of Düsseldorf based dry ice producer CE-O2 GmbH in April last year. No financial details were disclosed on the transaction.
