Azelis strengthens Presence in Italy for APIs

Specialty chemicals distributor Azelis S.A. (Munsbach, Luxembourg) has announced that it has entered into exclusive discussions with Deafarma S.r.l. (Milano, Italy), a distributor of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) in Italy.  In addition to distribution of APIs, the company supports its customers with a wide range of services, such as the search for new APIs, regulatory affairs assistance and new pharmaceutical dossier support, Azelis said in a statement.

Azelis will acquire 100% of Deafarma, with all employees joining the Azelis team, including both founders, Natalia Gorla and Leonardo Minin, who started the company in 1998. The transaction is expected to complete in the first quarter of 2019. No financial information was disclosed.
