Brenntag will acquire Conquimica S.A. in Colombia

Global chemical distributor Brenntag AG (Essen, Germany) yesterday announced that the company has entered into an agreement to acquire Conquimica S.A. (Medellin, Colombia), a chemical distributor with activities in Coatings, Cleaning and Food  Industry.

Conquimica supplies industrial and specialty chemicals from four warehouses in the main business and industrial areas of the country. The business is expected to generate total sales of approximately  USD 48.4 mn in FY2017, Brenntag said.

Closing is expected to occur in Q2 or Q3 of 2018, subject to review and approval by the local / national trade authorities, the statement said.
